Five Seahawks Christmas wishes

2 of 5

The NFL is often times a war of attrition. It’s not always the best teams left standing at the end of the season, but the healthiest. Just ask Arizona fans how they feel about not having Carson Palmer for the last half of last season.

The Seahawks have had some Bah Humbug type injuries, and they seem to be adding up. Already down Marshawn Lynch, losing rookie revelation RB Thomas Rawls for the season wasn’t just an ankle breaker but a heart breaker. Kam Chancellor missed the Cleveland game with a bruised tailbone that no one seems to know the severity of. Nagging injuries to LT Russell Okung, CB DeShawn Shead and even DT Michael Bennett are worrisome. Rotational DT Jordan Hill is banged up again, and OLB Bruce Irvin has shown up on the injury report a few too many times.

Fortunately, none of the teams key stars (Sherman, Thomas, Wagner, Baldwin, Wilson etc.) outside of the RB corps have missed time.

If this team wants to have a legitimate shot at getting back to the Super Bowl, Santa needs to grant this wish and keep the Hawks healthy the rest of the way.
