THIRD SEAHAWKS CHRISTMAS WISHThe Return Of Beast Mode

This one goes hand in hand with our second wish. Sure, the Seahawks rushed for nearly 190 yards as a team last week with a RB committee led by a career-best performance of former Seattle castoff Christine Michael, but the reality is if there’s going to be another Super Bowl run, there needs to also be a Beast Mode.

It’s been a month since Lynch had surgery to reattach muscle which had pulled away from his pelvis (ouch!), and the big question isn’t just how he’s doing but what he’s doing. In a rather unprecidented move, the Seahawks have been allowing Lynch to rehab and work out near his Oakland home, away from the team. Pete Carroll said this week that Lynch is doing great and that he supports the way he’s going about his recovery:

"“What he’s going through right now is basically the program that he always goes through in the offseason,” Carroll said Wednesday. “This is how he gets ready and gets in shape. And I think this is what’s best for him. I think it’s a good choice for him to be where he is.”"

FOX NFL reporter Jay Glazer reported that Lynch is working out with an MMA trainer, which would indicate that he’s at an advanced stage of his comeback. Carroll ruled him out of this Sunday’s game against St. Louis, and certainly the team would prefer to be cautious with their aging back.

Best-case scenaro is Lynch is healthy and ready for the wild card playoff round and beyond.
