KASEN WILLIAMS

The undrafted rookie WR out of the University of Washington saw the field for 10 snaps against the Rams but didn’t get any action. That could change Sunday.

The Seahawks will likely play this game like a preseason contest, with most or all key starters out of the game by the third quarter at the latest. This could give Williams a chance to shine. The former 5-star high school recruit and national player of the year has worked hard to battle back from significant injuries suffered in college, and he has reportedly looked great in practice. Tarvaris Jackson is going to play, possibly a lot, and he should have more chemistry with Williams than Wilson because he’s spent more time throwing to backup and practice squad players.

This is another example of where a young player may get a chance against the Cardinals to make an impression, and stake a claim to a much bigger possible role in 2016 and beyond.
