5. The defense was historically good. Again.

Remember early in the season when the Seahawks couldn’t hold a fourth quarter lead? That was painful, but consider this:

For the 4th season in a row, the Seahawks lead the NFL in 4th quarter points allowed.

Yep, you read that right. Despite the fact that we remember the defense being softer than previous seasons, they were still tremendous.

In fact, the Seahawks have up the fewest points in the league this season overall, not just in the fourth quarter. In the one stat that matters most, this defense was the best in the NFL.

It is also the 4th straight year that has happened, which is one short of an NFL record that has stood for almost 60 years. This is one of the greatest dynasties of defensive football the NFL has ever seen.

This team has its flaws, but it is clearly championship caliber.
