Seahawks Fans: Time to line the streets and thank our team
By Keith Myers
The Seattle Seahawks are coming home. Lets give them a tremendous welcome.
Update: The flight was delayed. It is now set to land about an hour later at 9:21. Plan accordingly.
The Seattle Seahawks season is over. They’ll return from Carolina tonight, and then it’ll be time for the offseason. It is time for fans to come out and show our appreciation for the guys in blue and green.
Their flight, Delta Airlines flight 8874, lands at SEATAC 8:13 pm local time tonight. The’ll load the team busses for the ride back to the VMAC.
The best place to line up is not too far from the airport in Seatac near the corner of 188th and Air Cargo Road. The entire block from there to International Blvd. is a great place to line up.
Be early so you can find parking and get set up. Traffic near the airport can be unpredictable. Park at the Jack in the Box or the La Quinta if possible, but turnout will certainly be big enough that you have to park further away and walk.
Dress warm, wear your Seahawk gear, and feel free to make and bring signs. Also, prep for rain. It looks like it’ll be a wet one tonight.
The other place to line up will be just outside the VMAC. The problem there is the complete lack of parking. Some fans will certainly be there, but the Seatac location is typically easier for fans.
If you go, be turn to take lots of pictures. Share them on twitter with the hashtag #thankyouseahawks, or share them on the 12th Man Rising Facebook page. Don’t just take pics of the team and busses. Also take them of yourself and fellow fans decked out in your Hawks gear!
We’ll compile our favorites and share them here on the site.
The Seahawks had yet another amazing year. Let’s show them that we believe in them no what the final score ended up being.
