Joique Bell, RB, Detroit Lions

There are a lot of whispers about how well the Jet’s Chris Ivory would fit into the Seattle backfield along with Thomas Rawls, but Ivory will likely command more on the open market than the Seahawks are willing to hand out. Enter Bell, He’s nearing 30 and has always been a complimentary back, which will keep his cost reasonable. But because he’s never been a full time starter his mileage is low. He’s exactly the kind of physical back that would compliment Rawls well, and he also excels at catching passes out of the backfield.

Marques Colston, WR, New Orleans Saints

Pete Carroll loves having a bigger WR in the red zone, but he’s had trouble finding one who could stick in Seattle. Even with Kearse’s impending departure, there are young, unproven WR’s on the Hawks roster who will get a chance to step up (Kasen Williams, Kevin Smith, Douglas McNeil), but the team took a hard look at Andre Johnson last off season. Perhaps the 6’4″ Colston on a short-term deal would be an outstanding veteran addition as someone who could give Russell Wilson another weapon on third down and in the red zone.
