Round 3, Pick 27: Landon Turner, OG, North Carolina

After doubling up on the defensive line last round, the Seahawks picked up their second offensive linemen with the selection of offensive guard Landon Turner out of North Carolina. Turner is an absolute road grader in the running game, so he’ll be a perfect fit in Seattle’s offense.

Turner’s weakness is his quickness and pass protection skills against quicker defensive players. In other words, he is a perfect fit for Tom Cable.

Round 3, Pick 34 (comp): Nick Vannett, TE, Ohio State

With Seattle’s 2nd pick in round 3, the Seahawks  grab Ohio State tight end Nick Vannett. Vannett is big target with soft hands and impressive blocking skills.

Vannett isn’t a speed demon, and will never remind anyone of Jimmy Graham, but that’s ok. He’s more of a complete TE, and his blocking skills will allow the Seahawks to keep Graham away from most blocking responsibilities.
