James Cowser, OLB, Southern Utah

With Bruce Irvin now in Oakland, the Seahawks could use another athletic outside linebacker who can play SAM. Southern Utah’s James Cowser fills that void, though it is unlikely that anyone will ever replace everything that Irvin did in Seattle.

Cowser is strong enough to set the edge against the run. He runs well enough to play in coverage. He also has some pass rushing skills, though his technique at getting around the corner needs some work.
