Round 7, Pick 4: Andy Janovich, FB, Nebraska

The Seahawks don’t have a FB on the roster, so they’re likely to add at least two before training camp begins. Given the lack of value for this position, this is likely the earliest Seattle will take one unless they think another player is special.

Janovich is a good fit in Seattle. He’s got good speed, soft enough hands to help in the passing game, and he loves contact. He is a bit on the light side right now, but there is room on his frame to add the 10-15 pounds he needs.

Round 7, Pick 26: Vernon Adams, QB, Oregon

This is my default final pick for any mock draft, and will be so until the Seahawks add a backup QB. Oregon QB Vernon Adams isn’t an elite prospect, but he has a number of traits that make me think he can develop into a decent NFL player.

Adams shows accuracy at all three levels. He also has the mobility to survive behind Seattle’s leaky offensive line. Add in that he’s known for have an excellent work ethic and a love for studying tape, and I think the Seahawks could do far worse as a backup to Russell Wilson.
