Running Back

Starter: Thomas Rawls

Backup: C.J. Prosise

Running back is one of the more wide-open positions for the Seahawks as they head into training camp. They drafted three players at the position, and return a pair of very talented players from the 2015 squad.

Assuming he doesn’t have any significant setbacks as he returns from a  broken ankle suffered last season, Thomas Rawls is set to take over for Marshawn Lynch as the primary ball carrier. Rawls is still a bit of an unknown nationally, but he led the entire NFL in yards per carry in 2015.

Behind Rawls is a plethora of talented backs that have widely varying skill sets. Out of all of them, rookie C.J. Prosise should see the most playing time.

Prosise is a former college receiver, and Seattle’s coaches see him as a the team’s third-down back. He’ll slide into the role that Fred Jackson held down last season.
