4. Brandon Williams

Perhaps the biggest surprise in training camp this year has been tight end Brandon Williams. He’s a completely unheard-of 28 year old who was thought to be just another camp body. Instead, he’s surprised everyone with his athleticism and hands.

With Brandon Cottom’s unfortunate Achilles injury, Williams now has a legitimate shot at making the roster. He’s been getting reps with the first team at TE, and is also in the mix at fullback.

Saturday’s game will be a chance for Williams to prove that he deserves that job. It is one thing to impress in mostly non-contact practices, it’ll be another thing if he can do so in live game action.
