5. Christine Michael

If CMike and 12s had a Facebook relationship status, it would be permanently set to “it’s complicated.” The uber-talented running back seems to get our hopes up every year, only to disappear once the season begins.

This year he has apparently been like a different player. I won’t blame you if your first and only response is “I’ve heard that before.” There is reason to believe that this time it will stick though. Offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said that Michael has had “an awakening.”

What I’ve seen during camp has been a guy that is focussed and coachable. He’s been more involved with his teammates and has been a surprising leader in camp this year.

Saturday’s game will be a chance to see if all of this new maturity will finally lead to results on the field.
