CASSIUS MARSH MADE HIS MARK:

When Marsh was drafted out of UCLA in the 4th round two years ago he was billed as a high-motor pass rusher who plays with his “hair on fire.” Since then he’s just been very, very mediocre; a guy who started out at the Leo position, was transitioned to OLB, but never showed any pass rush moves nor any consistent inclination to pressure the QB.

Today, he may have staked claim to the starting spot vacated by the free agent defection of Bruce Irvin.

Marsh was seemingly in the backfield on every play, and held up the edge much better on running plays than Mike Morgan and Eric Pinkins, the other two players vying for that spot.

If Marsh can sustain this level of play, he’ll not only grab the starting spot but could be one of the Seahawks breakout players this year.
