Seattle’s defense forgot to show up

After Seattle put together an extremely impressive opening drive for a 7-0 lead, Seattle’s defense provided no resistance allowed the Falcons to watch down the field for an easy TD.

At the end of the 1st half Jon Ryan pinned the Falcons back at the half-yard line. The Falcons scored a TD 9 plays later. The Falcon’s never even faced a third down on that drive.

The first drive of the second half wasn’t any better. The Falcon’s walked down the field and stretched their lead to 16. Again, Seattle’s defense offered almost no resistance.

The Seahawks are known for having an elite defense. That defense didn’t show up today. It hasn’t shown up for weeks.
