On the second Seahawks podcast of the 2018, we discuss Seattle’s first preseason game of 2018. Also, we preview the offensive position groups.

With the Seahawks first preseason game of 2018 on Thursday, there are more question marks than normal in Seattle-dom. Gone, seemingly, are the days where Seattle simply lines up and defeats most teams.

This could be a good thing, though. Head coach Pete Carroll usually does more with young players than older ones. And this season there are several positions units, like defensive line, that are quite young.

We discuss how one defensive end, Dion Jordan, cannot appear to stay healthy for any length of time. Does Seattle truly think he can be a long-term answer as a pass rusher?

Earl Thomas is still holding out. But Kam Chancellor visited camp this week. Is Chancellor a much better leader than Thomas ever could be?

We also preview who we think might fill out the roster offensively. Clearly, the starting quarterback is set in Russell Wilson. But what if this is the year Wilson gets injured early? Do we trust one of the players currently battling to be Wilson’s backup? Or is Colin Kaepernick still an option?

Will the Seahawks choose to go with four running backs and one fullback? Which player do we think might be cut if Seattle goes with only four?

At receiver, Doug Baldwin and Tyler Lockett are known commodities. But the number three receiver is anyone’s guess. Was Brandon Marshall a good pickup?

Next. Four things to watch in the Seahawks first preseason game of 2018. dark

If COYL Entertainment had an opinion, it would be that this podcast is worth listening to. If only for the jokes.
