The Seahawks lead the Cowboys 17-3 at the half. It appears Seattle remembered their game plan after all. How about that, 12s!

The Seahawks finally started playing like the Seahawks in their home opener. After the first two games, who would have expected Seattle to actually have a balanced attack? I’m happily shocked. We’re only at halftime, but Chris Carson already has 14 carries for 50 yards. That’s one more carry than he had in the first two games combined.

It hasn’t been all about the run game. Far from it. Russell Wilson has actually had time to throw. The Cowboys have hit him a few times, but so far haven’t sacked him once. As a result, Wilson is 12 of 20 for 145 yards and two touchdowns. If Brandon Marshall hadn’t suddenly developed Ted Ginn’s hands (he had three drops in the half), Wilson would have been that much better. I expect Marshall to bounce back in the second half.

One player who doesn’t need to bounce back is Tyler Lockett. He hauled in another bomb from Wilson, and now has three touchdowns in three games. Well, two and a half games. Looks like that big extension was worth every penny now, doesn’t it? He has four catches on five targets so far. As for Wilson, he was 14 for 21 for just 93 yards in last season’s win over Dallas. He did have two touchdowns in that game too. So far, he’s looking pretty good against the Cowboys.

The Seahawks defense has been stellar so far. Dak Prescott has only thrown for 50 yards so far, and was picked off by Earl Thomas on a typical heady play by the best safety in the league. On the flip side, Ezekiel Elliott is getting his yards, with 51 on 10 carries. I’m okay with that, as Zeke forgot to stay in bounds on what would have been an easy breakaway reception.

He isn’t the only Cowboys player to make a mistake. Defensive end Randy Gregory was stupid enough to shove a Seattle player in the facemask with seconds to go in the half. The great Sebastian Janikowski nailed a 47 yard field goal with the gift. Thanks for the 15 yards, Cowboys! And we’re off on the third quarter. Go Hawks!
