Seahawks versus Baltimore Ravens

Both the Ravens and the Seahawks made the playoffs in 2019 and both could be expected to be back to the postseason in 2019 as well. In fact, both teams are a lot alike. Each team likes to run the ball quite a bit and each team likes to rely on a very good defense to win games. And each team found their way to the playoffs in 2018 when they weren’t expected to.

To be honest, Russell Wilson makes every game attractive for the Seahawks to national fans. Football fans love good quarterbacks and Wilson is a great one. The Ravens got maximum effort and productivity from Lamar Jackson last year. In college, Jackson was a dual threat. In professional football, his throwing motion and accuracy is exposed. Still, he finds a way to win just like Wilson finds a way to win.

The good thing about this matchup for Seattle is the game will be played at CenturyLink. But the one outstanding reason for the casual fan to watch is that former Seahawk Earl Thomas signed with the Ravens this offseason and this will mark his return to Seattle. If this reason alone doesn’t get Ravens versus Seahawks on primetime then the NFL are full of idiots.

But we know the league knows how to make money. And a cross-country matchup of former Seahawk against current Seahawks and 2018 playoff team versus 2018 playoff team means this game should be played when all NFL fans are watching. Seattle gets the game at home, though, so that will help.
