The Seattle Seahawks have a talented roster. But who are the five best players on the 2019 roster? Here are our best guesses.

The Seahawks have found a way to keep quite a bit of talent on their rosters from year to year even though they also seem to be going through a transitional phase. Two offseasons ago, Seattle lost Michael Bennett, Richard Sherman and, for all intents and purposes, Kam Chancellor. This offseason was no different as Seattle said goodbye to Doug Baldwin, Earl Thomas and Frank Clark.

But Seattle still has more talent than your regular. In fact, the Seahawks should be good enough to once again make the playoffs. They have done this in seven of coach Pete Carroll’s nine seasons in Seattle. He is a good coach with good players.

Seattle has done a good job the last couple of years of drafting well, too. Rookies could have a big impact on the 2019 season. Second year players will have an even bigger impact. Carroll likes to keep the roster fairly young and Seattle is definitely that, but with talent.

To be really good this coming season, Seattle needs younger players like Shaquill Griffin and Tre Flowers to become very good cornerbacks. They also need Rashaad Penny to take a huge step forward and be a solid backup to Chris Carson. None of the players listed in this paragraph are among the top five players on the Seahawks roster in 2019, but they could be for years to come and that is a great thing.

But who are the best five players on the Seattle team in 2019? Here are my guesses (and feel free to yell at me on Twitter if you think me incorrect), along with some honorable mentions.
