Quarterback – Russell Wilson

At this point, any argument that Russell Wilson is not the best quarterback in Seahawks history is farcical. I get it. Matt Hasselbeck led Seattle to the Super Bowl and was pretty good for 10 seasons in Seattle. Dave Krieg was good on teams that had lesser talent than what Wilson may have had.

But Wilson has the best winning percentage and it isn’t close. Wilson is 75-36-1 in his career. Krieg won 70 and was 70-49. Hasselbeck had the third most wins with 69 but was 69-62. And Hasselbeck, while he didn’t have the Legion of Boom with him on defense, had a much better offensive line than Wilson ever has. Wilson is able to make plays when the blocking breaks down than Hasselbeck never could.

Wilson also has the most touchdown passes in Seattle history with 196. This is one more than Krieg in 17 fewer games and 316 fewer passes. Krieg also had 148 interceptions while Wilson has just 63. Of course, Wilson has 3,651 yards rushing too. Krieg had 1,261.

There is also the meaningful fact that Wilson has been to two Super Bowls and won one. No other Seattle quarterback can say they won any. This is just one reason the Seahawks made Wilson the highest paid quarterback in the NFL this offseason.
