Rasheem Green

Any time you’re drafted in the third round, you are expected to contribute in year one. Well after a promising preseason last year, Rasheem Green was basically invisible all of the regular season. Now with Frank Clark in Kansas City and Ezekiel Ansah coming back from shoulder surgery, the Seahawks are desperate for pass rushers.

Green has earned praise for his work this off-season from multiple coaches, including Pete Carroll, as the 21-year old enters his second year as a pro. With the Seahawks employing a “wolf pack” mentality on their defensive line, Green should see plenty of time in the D-Line rotation.

But this preseason, he needs to show consistent get off and improvement in his hands to impact the game. His work in practice will be important as well. In a division that features a tempo offense in Arizona and a high flying attack in Los Angeles, pass rush will be crucial in 2019.

In this sense, you can insert any defensive lineman into this article. Seattle will have to generate a pass rush from multiple spots, so all are worth watching. But whenever you’re a third-round pick who hasn’t produced yet, the eyes will fall on you.
