Wide receivers

Starters: Tyler Lockett, Jaron Brown and D.K. Metcalf

Depth: David Moore, John Ursua and Gary Jennings

Cuts: Jazz Ferguson, Amara Darboh, Keenan Reynolds, Terry Wright and Malik Turner

There is Tyler Lockett and then there is everyone else. The Seahawks are either so young or don’t have veteran players who have been overly productive in their careers behind Lockett that this unit is a bit frightening. Russell Wilson has to be able to throw to someone beyond Lockett but who will that be? I am not sold on Jennings and I don’t expect much from him in 2019. Moore will start off the year injured but appears to be expected back sooner rather than later. Ursua is going to catch a lot of passes this season, just watch. Metcalf might be OK in his rookie season or might not be.

Ferguson wasn’t able to do much against better talent after his preseason game one performance. Reynolds might still have a chance to make the team over Ursua but he shouldn’t. The rest of the guys are not tough cuts.

Tight ends

Starter: Will Dissly

Depth: Nick Vannett and Jacob Hollister

Cuts: Ed Dickson and Wes Sexton

The question is whether Seattle decides to go with injured Dickson over healthy Vannett, I think. Hollister is not a good blocker but he can catch and Seattle will use him that way. Dickson makes too much money but the Seahawks don’t have cap issues so he might stick over the always-underperforming Vannett.
