Coach Pete Carroll updated the Seahawks injuries heading into week two of the 2019 regular season. There is some good news as Seattle faces the Steelers.

The Seahawks injuries coming out of week one aren’t horrible but the team could be without a couple of key pieces against the Steelers in week two. Seattle is trying to get the right players in the right positions and the interior of the defensive line might be in a world of pain.

Will Dissly

Good news! Dissly injured his patellar tendon last year and appeared to suffer a knee injury against the Bengals. But Carroll said Dissly was practicing Wednesday and should be good to go this week. That is a bit of a surprise but we can hope Dissly will play against Pittsburgh.

Poona Ford

Ford suffered a calf injury on Sunday. At first, it looked like a possible cramp. It wasn’t. It looks like Ford won’t go against the Steelers and that isn’t good news. Ford can stuff the run and there isn’t a lot of depth behind him.

Mike Iupati

Iupati played a limited amount of snaps on Sunday against the Bengals and the offensive line sucked. Maybe his return won’t help much, but we will find out on Sunday as Iupati is likely to play against the Steelers.

Ziggy Ansah

The Seahawks big offseason acquisition didn’t play against the Bengals in week one. Perhaps Seattle didn’t think Andy Dalton would be good, but he was. Seattle can’t take the same chance against Ben Roethlisberger. Ansah is expected to play and that is good news.

L.J. Collier

Seattle’s first round pick did not play due to an ankle injury in week one. He will practice all week so it seems like he should play on Sunday. We will see.

dark. Next. Trade for A.J. Green now!

Neiko Thorpe

Seattle’s heat seeking special teams missile suffered a hamstring injury against the Bengals and will miss several weeks. Sorry to end this piece on a bad note, but that isn’t the best news. So, um, still…go ‘Hawks!
