The Seahawks are 4-1 heading to Cleveland. Russell Wilson is off to the best start of his career. This is how he will lead Seattle to victory.

The Seahawks are a lucky team. Having someone as your quarterback who is of the quality of Russell Wilson is something every NFL desires. Seattle has it. Wilson should be the franchise quarterback for the next six years or longer.

On Sunday, Seattle plays the Browns in Cleveland. Here are three quick reasons Wilson could beat the Browns.

Slip and slide

Wilson doesn’t run as much as he used to but he is rushing more this season than last. And he is doing it in a smart way. Maybe the yards per carry don’t bear it out overall (Wilson’s 4.4 yards per would be the second lowest of his career), but Wilson in the fourth quarter of games is keeping drives alive but finding room to run up the middle when defenses blitz. With some parts of his offensive line missing in week six, Wilson might need to scramble out earlier in the game and keep drives going. If Wilson can slip through the line and slide down after picking up a first down, Seattle will score enough to win.

Get the ball out quickly

While Wilson still doesn’t have one of the best time to throw averages in the NFL, he is getting rid of the ball a lot quicker than he ever has. One of the reasons Wilson won’t ever have one of the best time to throw averages is one of the things that makes him great is that he makes plays by keeping the ball many times. Still, Wilson is getting rid of the ball in 2.81 seconds this season compared to 3.02 in 2018 and 3.05 in 2017. Wilson will need to get rid of the ball against Cleveland as he is likely to be without Duane Brown at left tackle and will need to hep his line out by not having them block the likes of Myles Garrett as long.

Continue to be near-perfect

Coming into week six, Wilson leads the NFL in touchdown passes with 12. But Wilson is 20th in number of attempts. Wilson also has yet to throw and interception. His quarterback rating of 126.3 leads the NFL too and it isn’t close. Deshaun Watson is second at 115.9.

The fact of the matter is that behind a banged up line and with a Browns team that will probably rightfully key on Chris Carson and Seattle’s running game, Wilson will need to be near-perfect once again. Seattle with a more mortal quarterback would not be 4-1, more like 2-3. If Wilson plays Russell Wilson football in week six, the Seahawks will go into week seven at 5-1.
