The Seahawks are 10-3 and just on the verge of making the playoffs. Here are three players who need to be great week 15 against the Panthers.

It would be easy to make a list like this each week and have Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson among the players Seattle needs to be great for the upcoming game. And one would not be wrong in saying that. So, yes, Russell Wilson needs to be great against the Panthers. But besides Wilson, here are three other players Seattle needs big performances from week 15.

Chris Carson

The Panthers are terrible against the run, even with linebackers like Luke Kuechly. Carolina is 29th in rushing yards allowed per game (139.2), last in touchdowns allowed (24 – 5 more than any other team) and last in yards per attempt (5.3). Enter Chris Carson.

Seattle might go all-out predictable in this game, but this is what Seattle’s offense was built for: Running over their opponent. With Rashaad Penny out for the season with a knee injury, Carson is going to get the ball even more. He needs to not fumble and be himself and he will get 125 yards rushing and a couple of touchdowns.

Tre Flowers

Shaquill Griffin has been very good this year. Tre Flowers has been inconsistent. Flowers has lots of potential and is still learning how to be a cornerback, but he also needs to learn to get his head around on passes and not take penalties. Griffin could possibly miss Sunday’s game, but either way, Flowers is going to see his share of balls thrown his way. If he plays his cards right, he could get two interceptions. Or he could give up two touchdowns.

Next. 5 questions about the Panthers as they face the Seahawks. dark

Jarran Reed

The Seahawks will definitely be without edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney against the Panthers. Ziggy Ansah might be out too. But Seattle still has a guy who can get to the quarterback and from the interior of the line. That player is Jarran Reed, of course. Reed can wreck an offense when he plays to his highest level. Without Clowney and maybe Ansah, Reed needs to play at his highest level in week 15.
