D.K. Metcalf

I almost went with another Seahawks receiver here. Listening to Doug Baldwin for weeks on end would have made me a smarter and better person. I could have also asked him what the real end of his football career was like. But instead, I am going with a young player because D.K. Metcalf enthusiasm for life is one of the things most needed nowadays. We could all use a little bit more happiness, no matter what the situation is. Metcalf would supply that.

Metcalf also does other things besides play football well. As @NachoToy on Twitter said in response to my asking which Seahawks person you’d like to be quarantined with, “He cooks…” I don’t mind cooking, but if I am quarantined with someone I want them to be able to share in making food.

Beyond that, though, I could talk to Metcalf about what it was like to be told he wouldn’t play football again after a neck injury in college. He is a young guy and already has had to overcome the loss of being told his dream of playing in the NFL would not happen.

Lastly, though, if I am stuck at home I don’t want to find myself in a few weeks or months completely out of shape. Metcalf is going to motivate me and show me how to work my butt off to get stronger and more fit. That is a great way to pass the time.
