The Seahawks still need high-end edge rushers. In our latest mock draft, Seattle takes a pass rusher first but fills other needs too.

A few weeks into free agency for 2020 and the Seahawks are still looking to get a high-end pass rusher. Maybe they can bring back Jadeveon Clowney or sign Everson Griffen, but neither of these things can happen just as easily. In the 2020 NFL Draft, Seattle has several needs, but finding a pass rusher should be number one on the list.

In last week’s mock draft I had the Seahawks picking two edge rushers to begin with, Iowa’s A.J. Epenesa in the first round followed by Alabama’s Terrell Lewis in the second round. Once again using FanSpeak’s Mock Draft Simulator, I did go with a pass rusher first in this week’s mock, but not Epenesa. And I did not have Seattle picking another edge rusher with their second pick. That might be asking too much.

Last week I also had the Seahawks taking two running backs but this week only one. Seattle needs to find good depth behind starter Chris Carson as Rashaad Penny seems unlikely to be able to play at the beginning of the 2020 season. Seattle will find a quality backup in this year’s draft, one with the potential for starting in future years.

I don’t have the Seahawks taking a quarterback in this draft, but I can see that happening as Seattle still needs to find a backup for Russell Wilson in 2020. The NFL draft will still take place, albeit virtually, from April 23rd and April 25th. But without further ado, here is my latest Seahawks 2020 NFL mock draft.
