9. Special teams

The Seahawks are pretty set here. The only potential need is a kick or punt returner because while Tyler Lockett is good there, he doesn’t have much backup help. Usually, if it isn’t Lockett, the guy catching the ball is there to just do that and not much else. Michael Dickson is a great punter. Jason Myers wasn’t the best kicker in the NFL in 2019 but he wasn’t the worst either. Myers finished 17th in field goal accuracy in 2019 but didn’t miss a kick within 40 yards.

8. Quarterback

Clearly the Seahawks have one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL in Russell Wilson. Seattle is fortunate that it should not be looking for a starter at the position for many years, saving something really bad happening.

That said, Seattle seems to always be looking for Wilson’s backup. Maybe this could come in the form of a late-round draftee who needs time to grow under the wing of Wilson and the tutelage of Brian Schottenheimer.

7. Linebacker

Long-term the Seahawks might be needing to replace K.J. Wright and Bobby Wagner. Wagner led the NFL in tackles in 2019, the second time in his career he has done this. But Wright will be 31 years old when the 2020 season begins and is entering the final year of his current contract. Cody Barton was a rookie last year but showed promise and could be the starter in 2021.

But in 2020, the Seahawks should be set at linebacker and the unit is one of the strengths of the team. Wagner and company are clearly the best group on the defensive side for Seattle. And if Ken Norton Jr. uses Shaquem Griffin creatively, that would be a boon to the pass rush as well.
