Seahawks round 2

Second round, pick 47

Seahawks chose: Safety Marquise Blair. Our original grade for Blair was a B-. Blair actually started 3 games for Seattle and in week 6 was in on 11 tackles. But he defended only one pass. Seattle seemed to lose faith in him as the season went on. Of course, some of that is due to Seattle trading for Quandre Diggs. Blair might be good one day, but that day will not be in 2020 as Diggs and Bradley McDougald are inked in as starters.

Should have chosen: Chase Winovich. I realize Winovich did not go until the third round, but he appears to be worth at least a second round choice. Plus, in this re-draft Seattle would not have gone with Collier and would still need an edge rusher. Winovich fits perfectly in the Patriots scheme currently, but he would have worked well in Seattle’s too. And that would have been in 2019 and 2023 and 2025 probably.

Second round, pick 64

Seahawks chose: D.K. Metcalf. Our original grade for Metcalf was a B. We were wrong. Metcalf should have been an A. In his rookie season he was a bit inconsistent but he was a rookie. Still, Metcalf had 900 yards receiving and an NFL-record 160 yards receiving against the Eagles in the playoffs. Metcalf got better in the second half of the year and appeared to show he has good hands. Once he learns and develops, Metcalf is capable of 1,200-plus seasons with 10-plus touchdowns a year.

Should have chosen: Receiver D.K. Metcalf. See the above paragraph or maybe just watch this.
