Arizona Cardinals: EDGE Chandler Jones

If I were to say that the pass rush is the Seahawks’ biggest issue right now, I believe most 12s would agree. A depth chart consisting of Bruce Irvin, Benson Mayowa, L.J. Collier, Darrell Taylor and Rasheem Green would seem to solidify that assertion.

Stealing Chandler Jones from the Cardinals would make that concern obsolete.

Easily one of the best (and most underrated) pass rushers in the NFL, Jones has spent most of the last eight years terrorizing opposing signal callers. Heck, just in the last five seasons he’s racked up 72.5 sacks. In that time, his lowest season sack total was 11. Put simply, the man knows how to make life miserable for quarterbacks.

The best part is he stays healthy. Since joining the Cardinals in 2016, he hasn’t missed a single game. Sure, re-signing Jadeveon Clowney would have been nice. However, he can’t provide either the production or reliability that Jones brings to the table.

With Jones in town, the Seahawks would no longer need to worry about solving their pass-rush problems. He’d immediately upgrade the defensive line, commanding double teams and giving their other defensive linemen opportunities to shine. Jones would also make life easier on the Seahawks’ secondary, which could use the help heading into 2020.

Plus, wouldn’t it be nice to know he wasn’t hunting Russell Wilson twice a year?
