More than likely, the Seahawks are only going to hang on to three or four running backs when the regular season begins. Penny is likely to start on the PUP list, which could open a door for one of the young runners to step up — or at least make the active roster on a regular basis.

The two most likely options to make the roster are Travis Homer, the Seahawks’ 2019 sixth-round pick, and DeeJay Dallas, their 2020 fourth-round pick. Homer got some playing time late last season due to injuries and held his own as a runner and receiver. However, will it be enough to beat out the incoming rookie for the final spot?

I’m thinking not. I’m predicting Dallas earns the final running back spot, serving as the team’s 3rd/4th option for the majority of the season. Homer may stick around on the practice squad as an emergency option if injuries pile up again, but I don’t see him seeing the field much (if at all) in 2020.

That leaves Dallas as the final player to predict stats for. Don’t expect to watch him carry the ball often as a rookie, although he may follow in Homer’s footsteps with a late-season start. It won’t be anything ground-breaking, but it’ll give the Seahawks an opportunity to see what they’ve got in the former Hurricane. Hopefully, he won’t disappoint.

Dallas’ 2020 Stat Predictions: 15 carries, 61 rushing yards, 2 receptions, 8 receiving yards
