9. Will DK Metcalf improve in 2020?

Going into year two, DK will hope to replicate his success from 2019 and some. Fellow FanSider Geoff Shull predicted what DK will look like on the stat sheet in 2020. Shull predicts an improvement compared to last year for Metcalf with around 60 catches, over 1,000 yards, and around a dozen TD’s. This would be huge for a WR group that is lacking much talent behind DK and Lockett as I just discussed with question #10.

Don’t get me wrong, Metcalf’s improvement is important to this team in 2020 and a sophomore slump would certainly hamper the Seahawks offense, but if Metcalf can just contribute in a way similar to 2019 he will put the Seahawks in a good place to succeed.

However, if he can improve like Geoff thinks he will, he will do more than just put the Seahawks in a “good place to succeed.”

The Combination of Lockett and Metcalf both over 1,000 yards with impressive catch percentages and yards per catch would mean that Seattle is in good company with only a few teams every year having two 1,000 yard wide receivers. On top of that, it would mean that Russell Wilson has another pro-bowl caliber target to throw to, helping him and making this offense even better.
