The Seattle Seahawks have a top-heavy roster as far as talent. But three 2019 Seattle starters could lose their spots in the 2020 season.

So when I began this article, the Seahawks still had Bradley McDougald on the roster and had him inked in as the starting strong safety for 2020. But he was also on my list here because I think Marquise Blair could have taken his spot to start the season.

But, of course, Seattle made a huge move by trading McDougald on Saturday and obtaining First-Team All-Pro Jamal Adams. Adams changes the fortunes of 2020 and 2021 and gives the Seahawks a very real possibility to get to a Super Bowl. McDougald isn’t that kind of player but Adams is.

But what other veteran Seahawks might be in jeopardy of losing their starting spots this coming season? Could quarterback Russell Wilson be unseated by Geno Smith for instance? (OK, I joke about this one.) But what about Carlos Hyde taking over for Chris Carson?

Seattle needs production from its younger player starting in 2020 and to grow from that into stars of future seasons. Blair clearly isn’t going to be starting this year but he still needs playing time so he could be ready by 2021 or 2022. L.J. Collier needs to take a massive step forward and help with the pass rush.

So which players on Seattle’s team might be at risk to losing their jobs to younger guys? And which young starter might be at risk to lose his starting spot to a veteran? Maybe the three players that follow.
