Lano Hill, safety

Hill has never really produced consistently as a member of the Seahawks. Some see him as almost being guaranteed of a safety spot on the team because other players, like Marquise Blair, might be filling other roles. But Lano Hill isn’t really deserving of a spot and shouldn’t have one just because Seattle has other players who do other things.

Hill isn’t fast and doesn’t really tackle that hard. He simply would be a backup and having him in the game does not put the Seahawks in a position to win. Maybe Hill’s most memorable moment with Seattle is when he easily got outsprinted down the sidelines by Arizona Cardinals running back Kenyan Drake in Seattle’s embarrassing defeat to the Cardinals in week 16 of 2019.

The Seahawks are likely to keep four safeties. If they do, the group could be Quandre Diggs, Jamal Adams, Marquise Blair (even though he is likely going to start at nickelback) and Ugo Amadi. Amadi might feature more like a slot corner at this point, but if he does stick as a safety, Seattle could keep Neiko Thorpe.

And special teams might factor into Hill making the team because Thorpe is more valuable on that unit than Hill.
