Secondary

A-. . . Seattle Seahawks. SECONDARY

In back to back weeks, this Seattle secondary has looked improved and that is without All-Pro safety, Jamal Adams. CB Shaquill Griffin gets better and better each game and I thought he played a nice game last night. He made a huge play, batting the ball down on a touchdown throw to Adam Thielen.

Although Thielen recorded 9 catches for 80 yards and 2 touchdowns, no one else was effective in the Minnesota passing game. Rookie Justin Jefferson, was held in check for the majority of the game.

Pete Carroll had said in his weekly presser that Jamal Adams will be ready to go in Week 7 against the Arizona Cardinals. As excited as I am about his return (and he was missed last night in the run game), I hope this Ryan Neal kid can remain a starter in this defense. Last night, Seattle used Neal as they did Adams. Numerous times they brought him as the blitzer and the pressure was effective.

It was also mentioned throughout the week that Seahawks legendary safety, Kam Chancellor, aka Bam Bam Kam, has been mentoring Neal. Neal is a student of the game and has had a tremendous impact on the game ever since being called up from the practice squad in our Week 3 game with the Dallas Cowboys.
