Seahawks will beat the Cardinals in week 7 guaranteed
By Jake Luppino
The 5-0 Seahawks play the 4-2 Cardinals in Arizona in week seven.
The Seattle Seahawks head to Arizona for their first divisional matchup of the year. These two teams are quite familiar with one another and as a result, I am expecting a close game. But shouldn’t all 12s expect close Seahawks games at this point? It keeps us up at night and now this game has been flexed to Sunday Night Football.
The Cardinals are coming off a Monday Night Football performance where they just manhandled the Dallas Cowboys. The Seahawks are coming off a bye week, in which a lot of key guys had ample time to heal up. Most notably, All-Pro safety Jamal Adams will be ready to go for this one (we hope).
The Cardinals offense is explosive. Obviously, everyone is aware of the talent of DeAndre Hopkins, but in recent weeks, wide receiver Christian Kirk has stepped up and made some big plays. Oddly enough, when these two teams meet, it normally seems as if the road team is nearly always victorious.
Road warriors
Since 2013, the road team has won (or tied – that was an exciting game, right?) this matchup in 5 different years. I will not bet against that trend this week and that is a good thing. I have the Seahawks defense forcing Murray into two interceptions.
I have the MVP, Russell Wilson, throwing for 3 touchdowns. 2 to Tyler Lockett and one to second-year beast D.K. Metcalf? Most importantly, I got Seattle improving to 6-0, defeating the Arizona Cardinals 28-24 on the road.
