Here are three things that will happen when the Seahawks play the 49ers in week 8.

The Seattle Seahawks have managed to make it to 5-1 with an atrocious defense and a great offense. But in week 7 against the Cardinals, the Seahawks got some of their issues exposed. Now they are in the midst of a very tough four game stretch that includes this week’s game with the San Francisco 49ers.

Sure, the 49ers have suffered a lot of injuries but then they just won their lost two games – while being very banged up, mind you – by more than a touchdown. This being an NFC West game, it should be close. (Oh, who am I kidding? Every Seattle game is close.) So who wins? And what happens?

Here are three bold predictions for week 8.

Jamal Adams actually plays and does well

We are a week away from reality, 12s. By that, I mean good things. But in week 8, reality might not be a great thing. Still, Jamal Adams will get back to being on the field and play really well. He will create some chaos on 49ers jet sweeps and make tackles-for-loss and do better in coverage than when we saw him against the Patriots. Adams will be in on 13 tackles.

Adams still needs help, though. And that comes in week 9 but not this week. In week 9, Seattle will add Carlos Dunlap and Shaquill Griffin will be back and for the first time this year Seattle may be at full-strength on defense. Things might be different then.

But in week 8, Adams will be on an island and make plays but he also won’t have all the help he needs.
