With the defeat over the Arizona Cardinals, the Seattle Seahawks moved up to 2nd place in the NFC West.

After losing first place and falling to third last week, the Seattle Seahawks have now moved back up to second place. Many were beginning to lose faith in this Seahawk team that lost 3 of 4 prior to the Week 11 matchup with the Cardinals. Each team in the NFL has its good version and it’s bad. Many feel that you are as good as your record. While others feel that you are as good as your last game.

Regardless, the NFL is truly a week-to-week game. In Week 11, 12s were pleased as the “good version” of the Seahawks showed up. In fact, that might have been the best version of this team we have seen all year long. The defense stepped up to the plate and applied pressure all game. While the offense played cleaner, with no turnovers and getting back to a balanced attack.

Unfortunately, NFL fans also saw the “good version” of the Rams as they picked up a big win on Monday Night Football over the Buccaneers. With the win, they are the new first-place team in the NFC West. But, there is still a lot of football left to be played and the Seahawks, Rams and Cardinals all have a legitimate shot of walking away as the divisional champs.

Before headlining what’s in store for Week 12, let’s take a quick recap of what transpired in Week 11.

Week 11 Recap:

Seattle Seahawks defeat Arizona Cardinals, 28-21

Week 11 was kicked off in Seattle with a big divisional game between the Cardinals and Seahawks. Seattle was coming off a bad loss to the Rams and the Cardinals were coming off a Hail Marry win versus the Bills. Many felt the Cardinals would ride that momentum into this game and win on the road. But, this Seattle team had different plans. Carlos Dunlap was a presence in this one, racking up two sacks, including the game-sealing sack.

Jamal Adams also got his first shot at facing the Cardinals and was effective in the blitz game, containing Kyler Murray. Offensively, with the return of Carlos Hyde, Seattle went back to a balanced attack. Wilson had 0 turnovers, D.K. Metcalf recorded his first-ever touchdown against the Cardinals and most importantly, the Seahawks won.

Los Angeles Rams defeat Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 27-24

The LA Rams also had a big game on their plate as they went down to Tampa to take on the Buccaneers on Monday Night Football. The Rams defense has been surprising on the year as they have been successful in applying pressure while also locking down wide receivers in the secondary. Many felt this was a “prove it” game for the Rams.

They certainly proved they are the real deal as they won this game despite the struggling rushing attack. Both Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods had big games, both receiving for over 100 yards. The Rams defense was able to apply pressure on Tom Brady and rattle him into throwing two interceptions. The Rams moved into first place in the West with a huge win on the road.

Week 12 Preview:

Arizona Cardinals (-2) @ New England Patriots

This a tricky game to bet on. Prior to their Week 11 matchup with the Texans, the Patriots were beginning to string things together. In fact, they were coming off a huge win over the Ravens on Sunday Night Football in Week 10. This team has shown improvement over the last couple of weeks. Arizona, on the other hand, will be playing angry as they just lost their first-place hold in this division. But, I am betting against the Cardinals on the road. I like this matchup for the Patriots. DeAndre Hopkins will be dealing with Stephon Gilmore all game long. I like the Patriots to win in a closely contested game.

San Francisco 49ers @ Los Angeles Rams (-7)

The San Francisco 49ers are coming off their bye and will attempt to save their season one last time. But, it will be quite the difficult task as this Rams defense is building a swagger that is second to none in this league. HB Raheem Mostert should be making his return to the field, but he will be more effective in the passing game as the Rams have one of the best rushing defenses in the league. Remember, the 49ers beat the Rams earlier in the year, but they were way healthier. I think the Niners will put up a fight, but, I have them ultimately coming up short in this one. Give me the Rams by 10.

Seattle Seahawks (-5) @ Philadelphia Eagles

The Seahawks are coming off a big win while the Eagles are coming off a disappointing loss. Carson Wentz has been sloppy with the ball all year long and if this Seattle defense can string together another nice performance, it is going to be a long night for Wentz.

5 takeaways from Seahawks week 11 victory. dark. Next

The Seahawks have an opportunity to make another statement on a nationally televised game. Last year, the Seahawks played Philly twice in Philly and won both games, 17-9. I think the Seahawks will improve that streak to three this Monday as they once again, beat the Eagles in Philadelphia.
