Seahawks final injury report against Washington week 15
By Lee Vowell
How healthy are the Seattle Seahawks heading into week 15 against the Washington Football Team?
The Seahawks, if they can avoid any major injuries in week 15 against the Washington Football Team, are on the verge of being their healthiest heading into the postseason in some years. In week 15, Seattle will definitely be without three players but none of these are starters. Seattle does have two key players listed as questionable, however, and missing on them could change the outcome of the game.
One thing that Washington can do really well is getting pressure on opposing quarterbacks. If not extremely well protected, Russell Wilson could have a tough day and if Wilson struggles then usually the entire Seahawks offense struggles. Right tackle Brandon Shell has been very good this season but is struggling with an ankle injury currently.
In the Seahawks loss to the Giants in week 13, New York was able to abuse both Cedric Ogbuechi and Chad Wheeler who stepped in for Shell. Shell is arguably Seattle’s best offseason acquisition this season and the difference between him and his backup is great.
Not having a healthy Shell against Washington could allow the Football Team to get to Wilson on the right side and Wilson has made errors this season when he feels pressured. This should be a close game, so a bad turnover here or three could be the reason Seattle loses.
Defensive end Carlos Dunlap is also questionable with a foot injury. Washington is not very good offensively and is dealing with some injuries of their own so Seattle might simply hold Dunlap out to save him for the final two games and the playoffs.
Out for Seattle is running back Travis Homer and backup guards Jamarco Jones and Phil Haynes. Questionable besides Dunlap and Shell are safety Damarious Randall and cornerback Jason Stanley.
Washington injuries
Washington is worse off than the Seahawks. Quarterback Alex Smith is out with a calf injury and his backup, Dwayne Haskins, was not very good when he started the first four games for Washington in 2020. Starting running back Antonio Gibson might also miss the game with a turf toe injury.
