The Seahawks have done a beautiful job with the creation of the roster this off-season.

I would argue that they have improved just about every position grouping on the roster. The only caveats could potentially be linebacker and cornerback. The jury is still out there. This depends on how a couple of young players develop and if any other free agents are picked up.

There have been many players thrown out that the Seahawks simply cannot miss on. I can promise you, while every one of them holds some merit, the only player the Seahawks truly cannot miss on is Mitchell Schwartz.

Seahawks could have a top-five offensive line by signing Mitchell Schwartz

The Seahawks spent big to acquire Gabe Jackson. They sent a fifth-round selection to the Raiders to ensure they didn’t miss out on yet another talented guard. They did this despite having an NFL low 4 draft picks at the time of the trade.

The offensive line currently looks like this:

RT: Brandon Shell, Cedric Ogbuehi, Tommy Champion

RG: Gabe Jackson, Phil Haynes, Jamarco Jones

OC: Ethan Pocic, Pier Olivier Lestage, Kyle Fuller

LG: Damien Lewis, Jordan Simmons, Jared Hocker

LT: Duane Brown, Stone Forsythe, Greg Eiland

All in all, the offensive line is looking rather solid. The two big additions this off-season are continuity and Gabe Jackson. Both of which should help the lines stay stronger together and keep Russell Wilson clean for longer.

However, what if I were to tell you that there is a Pro-Bowl caliber right tackle still available today? What if I could tell you that this addition could be enough to propel the unit from a top 12 group to the top 5? So, who is Mitchell Schwartz?
