Player number 2: Tre Flowers

Flowers has had an interesting career so far for the Seattle Seahawks as I always feel he is taking one step forward followed by two steps back. Pete Carroll mentioned earlier in camp that Flowers has looked as good as ever which means in my estimation he was ready to compete for a starting job.

Heading into camp, it seemed the consensus starters at corner this year for the Seahawks were Ahkello Witherspoon and DJ Reed.  However, DJ Reed is still dealing with a groin issue and there is no status on his return. This means, for right now, it’s Flowers’ job for the taking.  If he is actually better than ever like Carroll mentioned, we need to start seeing it on the field.

Cornerback is the position group that has the most question marks heading into the season for the Seahawks and if Tre Flowers starts to live up to his potential, he alone can begin answering some of those questions.

12s should hope, barring a free agent signing like Richard Sherman, that Flowers shows in game 2 of the preseason what he is capable of because the Seahawks seem to have faith in him so let’s hope Flowers proves why.
