Tackle Terron Armstead

Armstead is used to blocking for franchise quarterbacks given his time with the New Orleans Saints providing protection for Drew Brees. With Duane Brown aging, filling the tackle position is a must this off-season for the Seahawks and Armstead could be the right fit.

He also provides strength in the running game, as he has created running lanes for Saints leading rusher Alvin Kamara. There is some concern about his injury history, but his upside might be worth the risk. However, signing Armstead would be a big gamble given he missed half the season with injuries this year.

Armstead did make three consecutive Pro Bowls prior to the 2021 season, which shows when healthy he can be one of the league’s best. For a team that does not often spend often on the offensive line, Armstead is an option. The decision to sign him will not come without scrutiny over his medical history, however.

He would be a younger option in comparison to re-signing Duane Brown, as Armstead is 30 years old whereas Brown is 36 years old. Armstead is a possible replacement for Duane Brown if the Seahawks would like to find someone younger to fill the void, as he is another good tackle who can fit the position.
