Getting worse on the offensive line

Trent Brown was brought in for a visit. He stayed one or two nights in Seattle. Then he must have thought, “Nah, this ain’t for me. I’d rather play for Bill Belichick than Pete Carroll.” Because Brown re-signed in New England and plays for a coach that will not care if he is human or machine instead of playing for Carroll in Seattle and Carroll cares about human beings. What must that say about the Seahawks sales pitch to Brown?

Seattle currently will start Jake Curhan at right tackle (I only assume since he finished the last few games in 2021 there and wasn’t awful) and myself at left tackle (I only assume that because I am small and am a terrible football player). Who is going to start at left tackle next year for Seattle?

Don’t ask me. Ask John Schneider. Schneider knows a lot more about running a football team but I will bet he doesn’t truly know who will be Seattle’s starting left tackle in 2022 than I do. That’s terrible.

Seattle could have signed Terron Armstead but didn’t and won’t. Schneider and Carroll could make the decision to bring back Duane Brown. That probably won’t happen either.

Maybe Seattle is planning on drafting their next left tackle with their first pick in the 2022 NFL draft. But then what will they do at quarterback in 2023? Or cornerback? And why do 12s trust Schneider and Carroll to make wise choices early in the draft anyway?

Jordyn Brooks has been really good. He was a first-round choice. So was L.J. Colier. So was Rashaad Penny who has been injured for much of his career. Schneider and Carroll have bet on themselves with the Russell Wilson trade. Would you as a 12 bet on them to be successful moving forward?
