Pick #40: Abraham Lucas, RT

Abraham Lucas is a player who doesn’t get nearly enough love from the draft media. He is a fluid and athletic right tackle who possess the size, hand strength, agility, and power that is coveted at his position. It may be the west coast bias. Teams are trying to hid him? Who knows?

This is a player who dominated in the Senior Bowl. He left opponents consistently on the ground and looking foolish. However, the media is bypassing him. But you know what? The Seahawks could be all the better for it. If Lucas somehow lasts to them at pick 40, they need to sprint to the podium.

  • Height: 6’6″
  • Weight: 315 lbs
  • Arm length: 34″
  • 40-yard dash: 4.92 seconds (97th percentile)
  • 3-cone drill: 7.25 seconds (98th percentile
  • 20-yard shuttle: 4.40 seconds (97th percentile)

His relative athletic score came in at 9.72. That is an astonishing 97th percentile compared to other draft-eligible offensive linemen throughout the years. What these tests show is that he has the agility, change of direction, and burst to stay with the speed rushers. He also has the size and arm length to keep the bull rushers away from his pads.

Best of it, Lucas can start right away. He has all the tools to be successful from day one. He is going to be a steal.

Pick #41: Channing Tindall, LB

The Seahawks want to be aggressive on defense. Why not draft a guy that is being deemed the heat-seeking missile?

Channing Tindall is a phenomenal athlete and plays like it. When you watch his tape, he is all over the field. Racing from sideline to sideline making plays. He has the speed to play spy, stick in coverage, or be the occasional blitzer.

  • Height: 6’1″
  • Weight: 230 lbs
  • 40-yard dash: 4.47 seconds (95th percentile)
  • 10-yard split: 1.55 seconds (87th percentile)
  • Broad jump: 129″ (95th percentile)
  • Vertical jump: 42″ (98th percentile)

He is simply a athletic freak. The only reason he is being underrated is because of his size (6’1″ and 230lbs). However, that hasn’t stopped players like Darius Leonard, Fred Warner, and Roquan Smith from having early success in the NFL, has it?

Imagine this front 7:

DL: Shelby Harris, RDE     –    Poona Ford, DT    –   Jermaine Johnson, LDE

LB: Uchenna Nwosu OLB  – Channing Tindall LB – Jordyn Brooks LB – Darrell Taylor OLB

Now that is a front 7 that will strike fear in opponents’ hearts. Talk about speed, athleticism, youth, and power. This has the potential to be one of the best front 7’s in the NFL. Every player is capable to play the run, pass, go sideline to sideline, and simply make plays.
