Las Vegas Raiders

We talked about the NFC being a monster of a division. The only conference that looks to take their crown of best division has to go to the AFC West. This division contains four teams with legitimate super bowl dreams.

The Las Vegas Raiders were the team with some of the biggest moves this offseason. Gone is the rotten Jon Gruden era, there’s new hope and optimism in Sin City.

Josh McDaniels has finally left Foxborough, and I believe he left for the right job. The offensive mastermind has joined a team with possibly the best collection of superstar players as anyone in the league. Derek Carr finished the 2021 season strong and is reunited with his college teammate and the best receiver in the NFL, Davante Adams.  The duo of Adams and Darren Waller gives the Raiders a pair of aces in the passing game.

The stars don’t end there as every quarterback facing Vegas will have nightmares about the pass-rushing duo of Max Crosby and free agent signee Chandler Jones. This team can make the jump.

The Raiders, like the rest of the AFC West, will get their fair share of prime-time games. I predict they will want to give them a nice road challenge, facing their old AFC West rivals on Monday Night Football.

Who knows, maybe we’ll even see an old friend competing against the team he played for in 2021. With Joe Buck and Troy Aikman jumping the Fox bus for ESPN, we’ll get a good look at some Raiders fans in hostile territory on Week 8’s MNF, which happens to be on Halloween. Perfect game to play the Raiders.
