Seahawks schedule: Seattle’s 4 must-see games and when they are
By Lee Vowell
Seahawks versus Kansas City Chiefs
Where: Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, Missouri
When: Week 16, 12/24 at 1 pm PT
Why it’s must-see
Watching Patrick Mahomes is always fun, first of all. I wish he was the Seahawks quarterback and I won’t lie. Heck, if Russell Wilson were still in Seattle I would say I would rather Mahomes be Seattle’s quarterback. But in this game I still want Mahomes to lose and do badly, of course.
The big reason this is one of the must-see games for Seattle is it is going to be a true test of how good Seattle’s young edge rushers might be. KC’s offensive line, when healthy, is very good and Mahomes knows how to move around in the pocket. Given time, he might torch Seattle’s secondary.
But if Seattle can get consistent pressure, this will bog the Chiefs offense down and Seattle might be able to get a surprise win. Can guys like Darrell Taylor, Boye Mafe, Tyreke Smith and (the more veteran) Uchenna Nwosu not only help stop Kansas City from running the ball, but then get consistent pressure on Mahomes if the Chiefs are forced to throw?
This could either be a really exciting game for 12s or a terrible one. If the young guys can show greatness, that means 2023 and beyond could be very special.
