Seahawks versus Las Vegas Raiders

Where: Lumen Field, Seattle

When: Week 12, 11/27 at 1:05 pm PT

Why it’s must-see

For the older 12s (and not even that much older really), Seattle versus the Raiders – no matter which of the thousand cities they have had a home in – was a must-see game. The Seahawks have played the Raiders 53 times in franchise history and only play one team more. That is the Denver Broncos who Seattle has played 54 times.

While Seattle and the Raiders seem to always play in preseason, those games are meaningless. Besides this game being one that counts, there are several reasons to watch.

The main reason is the receiving matchup. Las Vegas traded for Davante Adams this offseason and Adams is now teamed with Hunter Renfrow. But Seattle has Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf. Derek Carr is more of a sure thing at quarterback for the Raiders but hopefully, Lock (or even Geno Smith) can be good enough to get the ball to Seattle’s playmakers too.

Another reason is that Drew Lock has faced the Raiders four times, might have a good idea what to do against them and has only been really bad in one of those games. Maybe Lock’s AFC West knowledge will come in handy in 2022.
