One of tennis’ four grand slams is happening right now, Wimbledon. A Seahawks fan thought he would be rude and comment on it and he got smacked by the US Open Twitter handle.

The problem with the fan’s comment is it was just, well…dumb. ESPN had tweeted a video of some of the action from Wimbledon and someone who goes by the Twitter handle of @seahawksfan2314 responded by saying, “Not a sport.” I mean, why even comment if you don’t think it’s a sport, Mr. 2314?

By the way, this person really couldn’t come up with a more imaginative handle? I guess based on his response to ESPN, likely not.

Also, this is a person working with so few brain cells that he either doesn’t understand the definition of “sport” (“An activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment.”) or he doesn’t understand the skill that it takes to play a high level of tennis. I imagine anything other than staring at his phone and thinking of dumb Twitter responses is beyond him.

Seahawks fans gets rightfully Twitter smacked by the US Open

But his tweet got the notice of the US Open’s Twitter account and the US Open just absolutely roasted the guy.

But also, US Open, ouch. I am sure Seahawks quarterback Drew Lock was somewhere minding his own business when his own phone started blowing up and he was like, “What the heck? Why did I get involved in this?” What the US Open tweeted was harsh, but also pretty hilarious.

Mr. 2314 went on to respond to the US Open with some more stupid comments, most of which make little sense, and the person tweeting about tennis will likely wake up tomorrow wishing he hadn’t said anything. Or maybe he will be happy because he will pick up more followers because that is the world we have become.
