Seahawks TE Noah Fant

Noah Fant was one of the players that were included in the package in exchange for Russell Wilson. Last season in Denver, Fant was part of the Broncos team that has a plethora of pass-catching options which includes wide receivers Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick and their two running backs, Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon.

Although there were so many competitions for targets in Denver, in 16 games played, Noah Fant managed to finish the 2021 season with 90 targets, 68 of which he caught, for 670 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns. Now he moves over to Seattle with lesser competition for targets compared to Denver. Just be cautious on drafting Fant as Pete Carroll and the Seahawks emphasizes a run-heavy scheme and although there is lesser competition for targets, those 2021 target numbers might still take a hit.

Currently, Noah Fant is ranked on FantasyPros 15th overall in half PPR at the tight end position. The tight end position is the hardest position to fill in fantasy football. Outside of the top 3 or 4 ranked tight ends this season, Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews, and George Kittle, it’s tough to gauge how many fantasy points you can get from that position. I don’t get why Fant is being drafted so low, and is currently being drafted as TE14. In 12-team leagues, that is TE2  and a bench spot!

Other team defenses, will focus on stopping Seattle’s run game, and when it comes to the passing game, DK and Lockett will attract most of the coverage. An athletic tight end, that will command targets in the end zone, even with the questions surrounding the Seahawks’ quarterback, Noah Fant deserved to be drafted higher this season.
