Seahawks safety duo among best in the NFL

Then brings us to the safety position, which is most likely to be Seattle’s strongest defensive position group. Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs are two of the league’s best safeties at their respective positions. Adams is a former All-Pro and Diggs earned Pro Bowl honors in 2021. This shows you just what to expect from this safety duo: Greatness.

Jamal Adams, specifically, is one of the game’s premier playmakers on the defensive side of the ball. Adams provides explosive hits and elite instincts to blow up screens and jolt inside to create extra pass rush when the opportunity presents itself. Now Adams just needs to find a way to stay healthy.

Diggs on the other hand is the perfect compliment to Adams as he provides special coverage instincts and extraordinary ball skills for a safety. Diggs has 13 interceptions in just 38 games in his time in Seattle.

These two should be able to help make Seattle’s defensive transition significantly smoother and help usher in a new hopeful era of defensive dominance or at the very least, more defensive consistency.

Personally, with a perfectly optimistic outlook, I see the Seahawks ceiling this year as much higher than many others do. When I look at this team, I see a lot of similarities to 2012, a season that ultimately sparked the chance for a dynasty for the ‘Hawks. I see the Seahawks finishing 11-6 this season and potentially giving a top seed in the playoffs far more troubles than anyone would expect.
