As bad as the Seahawks have played in a long time but some positives

  • Most important was the news that Seahawks Guard Damien Lewis is going to be ok. The thought initially as an air cast was being put on Lewis when his leg got rolled up on was that he was going to be done for the season. Instead, it’s looking like he may miss a few weeks, although there’s a chance he could be out a few months. Even if this is the case, this team has the depth to handle his temporary loss, and he’ll be a welcomed addition when he returns.
  • The second positive I found from the night was the offensive line in the running game. In the few plays where they weren’t committing penalties, we down a unified wall pushing the Chicago Bears back. When you see a bunch of backup running backs average over five yards per carry, including 3rd down back Travis Homer gaining 44 yards on five carries.
  • The holes were clear, and a player with the explosiveness of Rashaad Penny could lead to another massive season by Penny and the Seahawks run game. This will be the key to a sneaky playoff run for the Seahawks. An explosive running game, controlling the clock, putting less pressure on the QB and defense, and this team can win 9-10 games.
